Every great historic product tends to begin prosaically, with the majority of the significant inventions having been determined by coincidence. 

Collagen came about when a team of scientist from the Institute of Chemistry in Gdansk (Poland) was working on benefits beyond the field of cosmetology in modest conditions. The team obtained collagen using the Antarctic krill method. The collagen retained its crystal structure of amino acids which is identical to the human so called triple helix. It meant opening the route to restoring protein which makes way to the actual reduction of wrinkles. Thus, the key to a youthful skin was born and the team was given credit to the birth of the greatest Polish chemical discovered, the collagen.
