Through the nose
- Carry out a patch test prior to using essential oils, if you have allergies or sensitive skin.
- Avoid using essential oils during the first trimester of your pregnancy.
- Prevent the use of some essential oils and some methods of application if you are suffering from high blood pressure, asthma and epilepsy.
- Avoid using Lemon, Lime, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Orange, Ginger and Fennel for 12 hours before prolonged exposure to the sun.
- Do not use essential oils on open wounds. However, some oils like tea tree, lavender, and myrrh can encourage wounds to heal.
- Do not ingest essential oils.
- Keep away from children.
- Consult a Certified Aromatherapist if and when in doubt regarding use of essential oils.
Aromatherapy is not intended to replace conventional medical treatment.
Consult your doctor if you have server allergies, pregnant or taking medications.
